Name: Jay T. Hairston
Title: Assistant Dean of Students and Director of the Academic and Cultural Events Series (ACES)
Areas of Responsibilities: ACES events featuring speakers, presenters and artists in the performing arts. Coordinate the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday celebration on campus in concert with the Berea community. Administrate the new World Music Series featuring different artists and art forms from literally around the world.
Additional: Teach College 101 – First Year Experience course. Teach History of Gospel Music in the Religion Department. Serve as a consultant and panelist on the Ohio Arts Council as well as on the Board of Directors for the Ohio Arts Presenters Network. National gospel recording artist and diversity consultant.
Biography: I have been employed at B-W since October, 1988. I am a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.and Omicron Delta Kappa. I thoroughly enjoy interacting with people, especially students.
