Academic & Cultural Events Series

In support of the mission of Baldwin-Wallace College, the Academic and Cultural Events Series (ACES) Office provides an opportunity for an enriched learning environment on campus.  This is done by co-sponsoring with academic departments and student organizations, many services and programs of intellectual and cultural interest throughout the academic year.

To accomplish this goal, ACES offers a broad range of events including speakers, field trips, performing arts, films, and special programming which encompass diversity topics and international awareness of global issues.

ACES enhances academic programs by extending the contact between a guest artist/lecturer and our students.  This is done through classroom visitations, lecture demonstrations, special discussion groups and additional residency activities that may last up to several days.  Students get to meet our guest in an “up close and personal" way, therefore allowing more direct opportunities for shared learning.

In addition, ACES provides leadership and support to special cultural programming inclusive of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Recognition, Black History Month, Women’s Week and others.
