Joining a Greek Organization

            

How do I become a Greek member?

 

There are three ways:

Fall Formal Recruitment

Sorority Recruitment - Sorority Formal Recruitment will be held September 16-20, 2008. This is an opportunity for interested women to meet and get to know the five National Panhellenic Conference sororities on the B-W campus. Fraternity Recruitment - Fraternity Formal Recruitment will be held September 22-October 2, 2008. This is an opportunity for interested men to meet and get to know the five North-American Interfraternity Conference fraternities on the B-W campus. Informal Recruitment

Periodically throughout the school year, some fraternities and sororities will sponsor informal recruitment events that provide an opportunity for interested students to meet members of those chapters.  For information about informal recruitment opportunities, look for flyers and other information to be posted around campus or contact the Office of Greek Life at mwest@bw.edu or (440) 826-2356. 

 

Membership Intake

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. are members of the National Pan-Hellenic Conference and do not participate in Fall Formal Recruitment or Informal Recruitment.  Rather, historically African-American fraternities and sororities participate in a process known as Membership Intake.  For more information about joining Alpha Kappa Alpha or Delta Sigma Theta, please contact the Office of Greek Life at mwest@bw.edu or (440) 826-2356.
