The following positions are offered throughout the year in the department of Recreational Sports and Services:
Lifeguards
Lifeguards are responsible for the supervision/operation of the swimming pool area. All lifeguards must have current Lifeguard Training and First Aid and Safety Training plus CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
Weight Room Supervisor
Weight Room Supervisors are employed to ensure the safe and appropriate use of the recreational facilities.
Recreation Desk Supervisor
The Recreation Desk Supervisor montiors all telephone calls, checks in all guests, issues recreational equipment, ensures proper use of equipment and facilities, and makes racquetball court reservations.
Intramural Officials/Supervisors
Outdoor Trip Coordinators
Outdoor Trip Coordinators are responsible for assisting the Department with the organization and planning of outdoor activities.
Building Maintenance Employees
Duties include cleaning, vacuuming, setting up equipment for classes, etc.
Aerobics Instructors
Aerobic instructors lead faculty/staff and student aerobic classes on land and in water. Students can become aerobic instructors by taking the training course offered fall semester by the Recreational Sports and Services department. All instructors are required to be CPR certified as well.
Student Secretaries
Students will work closely with the Office Manager in regards to the overall operation of the main office.
