Internship opportunities for Masters and Doctoral level students are available at Baldwin-Wallace College's Counseling Services each academic year. Health & Counseling Services offers an integrated and holistic approach meeting the mental and medical needs of the B-W student body. For those of you coming from a large school atmosphere, this is a valuable opportunity to see what it's like to work in a small college setting. We have a licensed psychologist and a PCC with supervisory designation to provide one hour of individual supervision. In addition, you will receive two hours of combined group supervision and/or focused training.
Masters Level Internship:
Requires 15-20 hours/week commitment; some college counseling experience is preferred, and we typically do not take interns for whom this would be a first practicum.
Doctoral Level Internship/Practicum:
Requires 15-20 hours/week commitment and preference will be given to applicants with college counseling experience.
We offer a dynamic training experience in college counseling. Interns have the opportunity to provide:
Individual Counseling
Group Therapy
Preventive Programming/Outreach
Consultation
Crisis intervention
The process of reviewing applicants for the upcoming academic year begins in February . If you have additional questions please contact Gerald Hayes at ghayes@bw.edu or 440/826-2180. Please send a letter of interest, a current resume, and a graduate transcript to:
