George Rogers Named Director of Adult Learning

George Rogers, of Berea, is the new Director of Adult Learning at Baldwin-Wallace College.

In this position, he will provide strategic direction and leadership for the College’s Adult and Continuing Education and Summer programs on campus and at B-W East, Baldwin-Wallace College's center for adult learning in Beachwood.

Before to coming to Baldwin-Wallace, he was the Assistant Dean of the School of Continuing Education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (Indiana, Pa.). In this position, he oversaw all undergraduate continuing education programs, including part-time studies, off-campus studies and distance education. 

Prior to that position, he served as the Director of Continuing and Professional Education at Merrimack College (North Andover, Mass.).  His past experience also includes 19 years at Stonehill College (Easton, Mass.), where he was named Chief Executive Officer for Continuing Education.

He is a member of the Association of Continuing Higher Education (ACHE) and Alpha Sigma Lambda, a national honor society for evening/weekend college students.  An active member with both organizations, he has held national offices and has earned recognitions, including being a two-time regional recipient of ACHE’s Innovative Programming Award.  In addition, he is active with church and community organizations.

Rogers earned a bachelor of science degree in English and Philosophy from Boston State College and a master’s degree in English from Boston College.
