Four Baldwin-Wallace Women’s Basketball Players Named Academic All-OAC

BEREA, OHIO – The Baldwin-Wallace College women’s basketball team landed four of its student-athletes on the 2008-09 Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team announced this morning (Tuesday, March 17). They are senior guards Jessica Butzer (Orrville), Amanda Mondrach (Parma/ Parma Heights Holy Name) and Rachael Quiring (Brunswick/ Parma Heights Holy Name) and junior center Ariel Brough (Powell/ Olentangy Liberty). Women's Basketball Team Wins 22 Games and Advanced to the Second Round of NCAA Tourney

BEREA, OHIO --  The Baldwin-Wallace College women's basketball team had another successful season in 2008-2009. 

The Yellow Jackets ended their season with a solid 22-8 overall record, had its 12th season of 20 or more wins in the past 13 seasons, advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the 11th time in the last 14 years (11-11 record), including reaching the second round for the third time in the past four seasons and placed second during both the Ohio Athletic Conference regular season (14-4) and in the OAC Tournament.

B-W Women End Season With Second Round NCAA Tourney Loss at Hope (Mich.), 69-53

BEREA, OHIO –  Sophomore All-American center Carrie Snikkers scored 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds as the #2-ranked Hope College women’s basketball team defeated Baldwin-Wallace College, 69-53, in a second round NCAA Division III National Tournament game tonight (Saturday, March 7, 2009) in the DeVos Fieldhouse in Holland, Michigan. The Flying Dutch victory marked the second straight year that Hope eliminated B-W in the second round of the NCAA tourney.  (Complete Release)

BEREA, OHIO –  Despite a game-high 16 points from sophomore guard Amanda Schroeder (Columbus Grove), the Capital University women’s basketball team defeated Baldwin-Wallace College, 53-41, in the 2009 Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament Championship Game tonight (Saturday, February 28, 2009) in The Capital Center in Columbus.
