Baldwin-Wallace Freshman Tanya Davis Named to NFCA All-Central Region First Team

BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin-Wallace College freshman utility player Tanya Davis (Hinckley/Medina Highland) has been named to the Louisville Slugger/National Fastptich Softball Coaches Association Division III All-Central Region First Team.  The teams were voted on by the Division III NFCA members in the Central Region.  Davis will now be on the NFCA All-America ballot.

Davis played in all 40 games this season and hit a team-leading .422 overall (56-of-133).  She also led the team in runs socred with 42, base hits with 56, doubles with 17, slugging average at .714 and on-base percentage at .477.  She was tied for the team-lead in triples with two and was second in homeruns with six, runs batted-in with 39 and stolen bases with nine.  Earlier this week she was named All-Ohio Athletic Conference First Team as a designated player.

Davis and the Yellow Jackets complete the 2008 season with a 17-23 overall record and a 5-13 record in the OAC.
