Baldwin-Wallace College to Honor Seven on Football Honors Night

BEREA, OHIO -- At halftime of next Wednesday's Baldwin-Wallace College versus Mount Union College men's basketball game in Berea, the College will honor seven outstanding contributors on its football team on Top Football Honors Night at B-W.

The seven members of the football program being honored are senior two-time All-American safety Greg Koch (Olmsted Falls), senior All-American running back Mark Anders (North Olmsted), senior All-American defensive end Nate Mitchell (Butler, Pennsylvania/ Butler), senior All-American offensive guard Ian Formaz (Wadsworth), senior two-time Academic All-American offensive guard Joe Harbour (Upper Sandusky), junior All-American tight end Nate Wilder (Youngstown Cardinal Mooney) and OAC Assistant Coach of the Year Adam Howard.

Koch will receive both his All-American awards from Head Coach John Snell and be presented the Lee Tressel OAC Most Outstanding Defensive Back Award by Dave Tressel, son of Lee Tressel. Koch was named as a first-team All-American by the Associated Press Little All-America committee, by The Football Gazette, by the Division III SIDs and by d3football.com.

Anders will receive both his All-American awards from Coach Snell and receive the Dick Gregory OAC Most Outstanding Defensive Back Award from OAC Commissioner Tim Gleason. Anders was a second-team All-American by The Football Gazette and AP and a third-team pick by the Division III SIDs.

Mitchell will receive his All-American awards from Coach Snell and his Paul Hoernemann Award as the OAC's Most Outstanding Defensive Lineman Award from Gleason.

Both Formaz and Wilder will receive their All-American awards from Snell. Harbour will receive his second straight CoSIDA Academic All-American Award from B-W Faculty Athletic Representative Dr. Lou Barone. Howard, who joined the staff two years ago from OAC rival Wilmington College and is B-W's Defensive Coordinator, will recrive his award from Commissioner Gleason.

In 2003, the Baldwin-Wallace College football program had a 10-2 overall record, finished second in the OAC and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III Playoffs. The 10-win campaign was B-W's first since 1991 and its first round playoff win against hanover (Ind.) was the first for the Yellow Jackets since 1978. The B-W football program has 37 straight winning seasons. That streak is the second longest in all of college football in any division.
