Baldwin-Wallace College Baseball Team Fell, 13-11, at Case Western Reserve University

BEREA, OHIO --  The Baldwin-Wallace College baseball team fell to Case Western Reserve University, 13-11, today (Tuesday, April 3, 2007) in a nonleague game at Nobby’s Ballpark in University Cirle.

With its loss, the Yellow Jackets are now 7-10 overall.  Case Western Reserve is now 8-6 overall.
       
The Spartan trailed 5-2 in the bottom of the fourth inning when they scored 6 runs to take an 8-2 lead and never trailed again as both teams exchange runs  the rest of the way.

Baldwin-Wallace used four different pitchers as senior J.D. Fullerton (Cuyahoga Falls) entered the game in the fourth inning and suffered the loss.

Senior Bob Storesina (Canton/GlenOak)led the Yellow Jackets at the plate as he went three-for-five with a double and triple and three runs-batted-in and three runs scored.  Sophomore Mike Brisky (Berea) went three-for-five with three runs scored while junior Nick Radca (Amherst) and sophomore Cody Kidd (Wellington) were each two-for-four at the plate and had two runs-batted-in each.

The Yellow Jackets return to the field on Thursday, April 5 when they travel to Hiram for a nonleague game with Hiram College at 3:30 p.m.  Then B-W returns home to Heritage Field in Berea on Saturday, April 7 for an 1:00 p.m. Ohio Athletic Conference doubleheader with Muskingum College.
