B-W in Jamestown & Williamsburg

High School Students

Still in the process of
choosing a college?

Thinking he was at college just to play football, Bill Kelso's B-W experience uncovered a passion for history and archaeology.

Join us for a rare opportunity to tour the site of the fort at Jamestown, America's first permanent English colony, with the archaeologist who found it, B-W graduate, Bill Kelso.

For information or to sign up to attend, contact Tina Cochran, tcochran@bw.edu.

B-W alumnus Bill Kelso ’63 will conduct a tour of the Jamestown Historical Site on Saturday, June 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 Noon.  Bill has devoted his professional life to the archaeological discovery of the original settlement.  During the 400th anniversary of Jamestown, Bill provided tours for the Queen of England, US governmental leaders and many international dignitaries.  Down to earth, Bill is a perfect example of a liberal arts grad finding a “calling” is his life’s work.  Following the tour (and for those who do not take the tour) there will be a B-W luncheon in Williamsburg.  There will be a $10 admission fee to the historic area (children free).
