Admission

License+Master's Application Process

Candidates for the License+Master's program are selected  based on application credentials, including academic preparation for a master's program; relevant work, community or teaching experience with children and young adults; recommendations from professionals in the field; and personal dispositions/attributes that support success in a teaching career.   An interview with members of the Admission Committee is often part of the process.

Applying for admission to Baldwin-Wallace College as a License+Master's candidate requires:

  • Application for admission ($25 application fee is waived when you apply online).
  • Two recommendations (download two copies of the recommendation form) from principals, supervisors, teachers or other persons qualified to evaluate your background and potential to pursue a program of graduate study.
  • Official copies of ALL undergraduate and graduate college/university transcripts  (download transcript request forms).  The Admission Committee recommends a GPA of 2.75 or above.   If the qualifying GPA is less than 2.75, the Admission Committee may request that candidates to the License+Master's program take the Miller Analogies Test and submit official results.
  • The Admission Committee may request a meeting with candidates prior to making an admission decision.

To talk with an admission counselor about the application process, phone 440-826-8025 or email evening@bw.edu.

To learn more about seeking an initial teaching license, come to an information session.
These sessions are designed for college graduates who want to become licensed teachers in Ohio.
