Transfer & Adult Student Admission

Baldwin-Wallace College has a rolling admission policy.  You will be notified of a decision approximately two weeks after all required application information and forms are received by the Admission Office. The Admission Committee may request additional information from any applicant to assist in the decision process.

In addition to the credentials below, we encourage you to meet with an admission counselor.

Official College Transcripts
Transcripts must be mailed directly from each college/university you attended to the B-W Admission Office, including courses that may be recorded on another school's transcript.  All coursework attempted is part of your academic record and considered in the application process, even if that coursework is no longer consistent with your academic goals. Often there is a small transaction fee (usually a few dollars), so it is a good idea to check with each school before sending your request.  Transcript Request Form.

High School Transcript
Your high school transcript is required as part of the application review if you have been out of high school less than five years.   In addition, any student who has completed less than 25 transferable semester hours of college/university coursework must submit the high school transcript or GED.  The high school transcript must be mailed directly to the B-W Admission Office from your high school.

ACT or SAT Scores
If it has been five years or more since you graduated from high school, ACT/SAT scores are not normally a part of the application process.  However, if you would like ACT/SAT scores to be included, please submit official scores.  Scores listed on an official high school transcript are acceptable.  We do not recommend that students who have already graduated from high school (or completed the GED) take the ACT/SAT examinations.

Recommendation
One personal recommendation should be completed by a professor, employer or someone who is familiar with your goals and abilities as they relate to successfully pursuing a college academic program.    The recommendation may be submitted on school or company letterhead or by using the B-W recommendation form.

Dean of Students Evaluation Form
The Deans Evaluation Form is required ONLY if you meet the following criteria:  you are currently enrolled or have been enrolled as a full-time student within the last academic year; and  the college/university attended is a four-year residential campus.

Conservatory Audition Portfolio
If you are applying for admission as a Conservatory of Music student, you must also complete the downloadable Conservatory Audition Portfolio. There is a $25 audition fee.  All materials must be received no later than two weeks before your scheduled audition date.

Other Information (Optional)
An admission interview, copy of a resume, written personal statement, and list of training workshops and seminars are examples of additional information that may help us get to know you better during the admission process.

NOTE:  All applications and credentials submitted for admission consideration become the property of Baldwin-Wallace College when they are submitted, and will not be returned in original or copy form.
