First Year Experience Course: College 101

College 101 is part of the First Year Experience (FYE) at Baldwin-Wallace College.  College 101 is a two-credit hour course offered fall semester to students entering college for the first time.

Why take College 101?

“I would recommend this course to an incoming freshman because it broadens your perspective of who you are, how others are around you and how you can relate to them, while gaining an understanding of the in’s and out’s of college life” - Mary

“What I enjoy most about College 101 is that it gives me a sense of belonging.  While there are still regular assignments like any other class it is much more laid back and allows for meeting new people and forming strong bonds.  Through College 101 I have met some of my closest friends on campus.”  - Grant

“The class guides you through your first semester, which could be a rather difficult time for freshmen. You gain knowledge to what the college has to offer, as well as experiencing and adapting to college life. College 101 aids greatly in the transition from high school to college, which is needed.” - Jesse
