Comprehensive
Actor, critic, designer…whatever your interest, we’ll help you achieve your career goals. Through our holistic program, you’ll take courses ranging from acting and directing to scenic, lighting and costume design. Our core curriculum–rich in the liberal arts tradition–is interactive and introspective.
Experiential
As a theatre arts student, you’ll gain valuable experience through our main stage and student-directed, one-act productions. Learning will become relevant and real as you delve into all areas, including design and construction as well as production, management and marketing.
Professional
Our faculty members are practicing professional artists whose contacts include local and national theatre companies. We are very proud of our association with the Great Lakes Theater Festival. Our students work throughout Cleveland gaining practical job experience, earning equity points, making important contacts and building their resumes.
Versatile
With both proscenium and black box theatres, B-W offers traditional and contemporary audience settings that enable you to experience a variety of learning environments, including theatre in-the-round, alley and more.
