Professional Development

Baldwin-Wallace College has formed partnerships with 40 area school districts to offer the Master of Arts in Education degree to teachers onsite in their participating school districts.

The B-W School Partnership Program allows teachers to complete the MAEd degree as part-time students in just two years, while receiving significant savings on tuition!

Ohio-licensed teachers and administrators who work full-time in participating School Partnership Program school districts are eligible to apply.  Classes are taught by B-W full-time faculty and highly qualified teacher/practitioners as adjunct instructors.

Features of the Program

  • Cohort Model  --  Students progress through the program as a group, forming strong learning and professional growth communities.   Teachers from participating partnership school districts will complete their master's degrees together as a cohort, grouped by specialization area.
              Educational Technology
              Mild/Moderate Educational Needs
              Reading
              School Leadership

  • Competitive Tuition  --  MAEd students enrolled in the School Partnership Program enjoy significant savings on graduate education courses.   Tuition is discounted 30% for students enrolled in the two-year cohort program through the Partnership.  For Partnership teachers who individually enroll in graduate education classes on campus (to renew a license, add a license or endorsement, or complete the MAEd at their own pace on campus), the tuition discount is 15%.

  • Convenient Locations  -- During the Fall and Spring semesters, classes are taught onsite in one of the participating partnership school districts.  In the Summer, teachers come to the B-W campus in Berea.

  • Timely Degree Completion  --  When you follow the pre-planned curriculum, you will enroll as a part-time student, and your degree will be completed in just two years!

  • Streamlined Application Process  -- B-W's partnership with your school district streamlines the application process.  No application fee.  Copies of your transcripts may be forwarded from your Board of Education Office.  One letter of recommendation needed.
