| PMP® Certification Eligibility (www.pmi.org)
For more information about the credentialing process, please visit http://www.pmi.org/CareerDevelopment/Pages/Our-Credentials.aspx. Baldwin-Wallace College does not administer the PMP® Exam. To achieve PMP® certification a candidate must satisfy all education and experiential requirements established by the Project Management Institute (PMI®) and demonstrate a level of understanding and knowledge of project management. You must also meet the following requirements of either category below: |
| CATEGORY 1: |
| 1. Achieved a baccalaureate degree or better; 2. A minimum of 4, 500 hours of project management experience within the five project management process groups within the six-year period prior to application; 3. Obtain 35 contact hours of project management education. |
| CATEGORY 2: |
| 1. Does not hold a baccalaureate degree or global equivalent university degree, but holds a high school diploma or equivalent secondary school credential; 2. A minimum of 7, 500 hours of project management experience within the five project management process groups, within the eight-year period prior to the application. Candidates who hold an associate’s degree should also apply in this category; 3. Obtain 35 contact hours of project management education. |

The Project Management Institute (PMI®) mandates a Continuing Certification Requirement (CCR) for all certified Project Management Professionals'. As stated by PMI®: "A PMP® must complete and submit a minimum of 60 Professional Development Units (PDUs) during each Continuing Certification cycle."
