B-W Provides Educational Resources to In Counsel With Women

October 2003

Baldwin-Wallace College has been named the educational partner of In Counsel With Women (ICWW), the leading organization of top female executives. Created as a forum through which executive women can meet, grow, expand their spheres of influence, and advance their careers, ICWW was founded six years ago by a group of the highest-ranking women in the Northeast Ohio business community with sponsorship support of Jones Day. B-W Business Division Professor Sandra Stark, who also heads B-W’s Center for Entrepreneurship, is a founding member and a director of the organization.

“In Counsel With Women is an important career development resource for our region’s leading female executives,” said Prof. Stark. “B-W is very proud to have been selected as the educational partner of this organization. Our growing range of executive educational opportunities will become a central part of the ICWW program,” she said.

Prof. Stark also said that B-W looked forward to supporting ICWW’s efforts to increase networking and other forms of communication between women executives. Peter Rea, chairman of B-W’s Business Division, said that the partnership with In Counsel with Women is an example of B-W’s commitment to supporting the business community of the Northeast Ohio Region. He added that the Business Division would host a private dinner for In Counsel With Women members and the panelists of the Global Competition and Outsourcing presentation on October 20, 2003. “The dinner provides an opportunity for ICWW members to address issues unique to the region’s female executives with accomplished senior executives in a confidential setting,” Dr. Rea said.
